My boyfriend is giving me another headache, he’s a big cheater, he insults me, he doesn’t respect me at all, he beats me in front of his friends, sometimes take my clothes off in public just to embarrass myself I hate my life and feel really used and stupid.

Olowolaju Boluwatife, industrial psychologist and creative director of The Jporshe Designs and Prints, explained how mental health plays a major role in our daily lives. He said: “The concept of mental health cannot be overstated as it plays a major role in our daily activity. If I am not in good psychological health, I cannot speak to you or give you my thoughts on this subject. So, I would like to say that our mental health is what makes us acceptable in the society where we initially find ourselves.

“Mental health includes our emotional, psychological and social well-being. It affects how we think, feel and act. It also helps determine how we handle stress, interact with others, and make choices. Mental health is important at every stage of life, from childhood and adolescence to adulthood.

“In other words, mental health is a state of well-being in which an individual realizes his or her own abilities, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively, and is able to make a contribution to his community. .

“Mental health is more than the mere absence of mental disorders or disabilities. Optimal mental health is not only about avoiding active conditions, but also about pursuing ongoing well-being and happiness. They also point out that preserving and restoring mental health is crucial on an individual basis, as well as in different communities and societies around the world.

Many factors contribute to mental health problems, including biological factors, such as genes or brain chemistry; life experiences, such as trauma or abuse and a family history of mental health issues.

It is important to protect your daily mental health and well-being so that you can manage daily stress and effectively help others when they need you. Help should be sought. Mental health professionals and services are available to help you deal with your problems.

It can be good to talk about how you feel and what you are doing to deal with it.

Think about how you can change and develop new positive habits – try doing useful or important things (like cleaning, cooking, exercising, reading, or calling a friend). Making a daily or weekly schedule can benefit you.

“Mental hygiene is the way in which an individual prepares his mind to achieve good mental health. For example, not living above your limit, i.e. spending what you have and not above your income, creating a good environment to avoid insecurity, avoiding what will alter the personality of an individual, for example smoking cannabis, taking drugs such as cocaine, heroin, etc. .”
